In the coming days, the Biden administration is expected to take executive action to restore the refugee resettlement program. This is particularly welcome news, in light of strong support for America as a beacon of hope, safety, and refuge -- and the previous administration’s dismantling of the program by more than 80%. As we face the worst refugee crisis in history, it is critical that the Biden administration take immediate action to begin rebuilding the program and to increase refugee admissions.

This executive action needs to increase the refugee admissions goal, initiate an interagency audit of refugee processing, and rescind previous refugee bans. Urge the Biden administration today to immediately restore U.S. moral leadership in refugee protection and resettlement.

Their job is to represent the views of their constituents. Let your Representative and Senators know that you support raising the refugee ceiling set by the Presidential Determination to 125,000 and to strengthen the U.S.'s role in aiding vulnerable people fleeing violence and persecution.
